The conference focuses on discussion of preliminary data, new concepts, and new methods. This is done in part:

Brief oral presentations (1 overhead sheet or slide, or powerpoint page each) of 25 posters. All posters will be displayed throughout the conference in the Front Squad. Interested presenters please contact Hans Westerhoff:
mailto:hw@bio.vu.nlWhich posters are presented as flashes?
Procedure of poster flashes:
All invited poster flash participants are requested to present orally just:
This should be done in two minutes (120 seconds) at most, using 1 or at most 2 illustrations,
preferably on overhead sheet (slides, powerpoint possible, but this may cause delays). In all cases please contact the chair person beforehand (<15h00).A poster flash is meant to direct the right person to your poster. It should therefore be precise and clear, yet provoke discussion. Giving a good poster flash presentation is more difficult than giving a classical oral presentation, and should be well exercised beforehand.
Please make sure that you identify yourself and your poster, and the laboratory you represent (e.g. by indicating this on your overhead sheet).
After the presentation there may be time for one question from the floor.
