MAS Colloquium "Crossroads"

CWI, the Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science, is starting a new interdisciplinary colloquium on the "Crossroads of Mathematics, Informatics and Life Sciences". The aim of "Crossroads" is to provide an interdisciplinary platform for researchers from biology, the medical sciences, mathematics and informatics. The meetings will be organized around selected themes, primarily by different research groups from CWI. Anyone interested is invited to participate, to deliver a contribution, or to propose new themes.

The "Crossroads" colloquium will be coordinated by Dr. Mark Peletier, tel. 020-5924226, Mark.Peletier@cwi.nl

The first meeting will take place on June 7, 2000. Future plans include meetings organized around themes such as `Probability and Statistics in the Life-Sciences', `Numerical methods for Differential Equations', `System Identification and Control', and `Visualization of Biological Objects'.
