-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear colleagues,

You are hereby cordially invited to attend the seminar 'Combining
genetic and epidemiological data to unravel infectious disease
dynamics', to be held in Utrecht at November 19 at noon (Epidemics
registration day).

Three renowned scientists and a PhD student will discuss how they
uncovered dynamics of infectious diseases using mathematical
models. The talk will cover a variety of diseases and spatial scales,
with an emphasis on the combination of genetic and epidemiological
data into one analysis.

* Katia Koelle Causes and consequences of influenza's antigenic drift
* Roman Biek Combining genetics and epidemiology to understand zoonotic disease dynamics: rabies virus as a model
* Marc Lipsitch Geographic and demographic spread of antimicrobial-resistant gonorrhea in the United States
* Rolf Ypma Combining genetic and epidemiological data to unravel infectious disease dynamics

Entrance is free, but please register beforehand by sending an email
to rolf.ypma@rivm.nl. Feel free to circulate this invitation to others
who might be interested .

Venue: Utrechts Archief, Hamburgerstraat 28, Utrecht.
Sandwiches will be available from 11.30.
