* In memoriam, Maus Sabelis (1950-2015)

The NVTB is very sad to announce the passing of a prominent member of
the society. Maus Sabelis, professor in Population Biology at the
Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED) at the
University of Amsterdam, passed away on Wednesday, 7 January 2015,
after an illness of two years, during which he remained scientifically
active until the last moment. He will be remembered as an excellent
and creative scientist, an inspiring supervisor and a very social
person. He will be dearly missed by his colleagues of the IBED and by
the theoretical biology community as a whole. Our thoughts go to his
family, friends and colleagues. An in memoriam can be found at the
