Announcement

We are happy to invite you for the annual NVTB-retreat on May 24th and 25th 2012 in Schoorl. At this retreat scientists and students working in Theoretical Biology will present and discuss their research in an informal atmosphere. This year we have two invited speakers: Marten Scheffer from Wageningen University and Bela Mulder from the AMOLF.

The meeting starts on Thursday May 24th at 11:30, ends on Friday May 25th in the late afternoon and includes meals and an overnight stay at the Doopsgezind Broederschapshuis, located at the edge of the beautiful dunes of Schoorl. On Thursday evening we will have the annual meeting (jaarvergadering) with members of the NVTB. After this meeting we traditionally take a long, nocturnal hike to the beach and back.

The deadline for abstract submission is April 17, 2011. The final program, including al abstracts, will be sent to NVTB members and subscribers to the meeting by regular mail.

How to get there?

Schoorl is situated in the northern part of the province North Holland, near the city of Alkmaar. It is separated from the coast by the widest and highest dune range in the Netherlands ("Schoorlse duinen").
