Our secondary aim is to advice research workers of the Faculty of Earth and Life Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit concerning the set-up of their experiments, and to assist them in the analysis of results.
Our secondary aim is to train specialists in theoretical biology. To this end, undergraduate students can participate in our research for a period of 3 - 6 months, where they get a more advanced training in modelling, statistical analysis, numerical techniques and use of advanced software packages.
Finally, graduate students may acquire their PhD by working in a project on one of the many aspects of the Dynamic Energy Budget theory.
