lecturer: Bas Kooijman title: What did we learn from the Add-my-Pet data base? date: 2019/04/10 location: France, Brest, Pôle Numerique Brest Iroise (PNBI) Summary: I start with a brief description of the Add-my-Pet data base, what it is and why we created it. It grew rapidly in last 2 years and I explain what motivated us to invest that much effort. We now have some 1800 entries, that also fit better with empirical data, compared with the 700 entries, that we had in Tromso 2017. Apart form the increase in size, we made a lot of progress on many other fronts that I briefly review. In this context I summerize some of the highlights of new insights that we gained from building up the collection. The quantification of supply-demand spectra and the notion of waste-to-hurry are for me the pinnacles, but there is much more in terms of a real understanding. Some examples will illustrate this. I briefly discuss the current use of the collection and research on DEB theory and close with an outlook on new developments.
